Xander Xyst is a porn star. Yes, that porn star. The one you’re always hearing about. The one you fantasize about when you’re all alone. The one you imagine you are when you’re not. Tonight, he's on a date with Michael. They met online. Downtown, there’s Matthew, “Matt”. Matt is Xanders' brother. He's trying to start a band with Lena. They also just met tonight. Told over one night in Los Angeles and incorporating songs scored by Isabella Summers of Florence + the Machine, XANDER XYST, DRAGON: 1 explores how our past and our present interact in a world where our traumas can be dissected and exposed in 140 characters or less.
In an unnamed cafe in Paris a young black playwright discusses the lives led by young black Americans with three Parisians as Josephine Baker (or is it Nina Simone? Maybe Beyonce...) sing in a cabaret and Kanye West tells us the story of "how niggas got white palms".
